Eric Donnelly has been a professional performing and teaching musician for the past twenty years. As a co-founder and lead guitarist for The Alternate Routes, Eric has performed all over the world, and his music has been used in the 2014 Winter Olympics, A TOMS Shoes ad campaign, and NCIS. In addition to his work with The Alternate Routes, Eric has also toured with Stephen Kellogg, Nick Fradiani, Pete Muller, and Bobby Yang.
As a songwriter, Eric was invited to White House in 2016 by Valerie Jarrett (Senior Advisor to President Barrack Obama) for his song Somewhere in America, as part of the Concert Across America to End Gun Violence. As an educator, Eric began teaching guitar at Fairfield University while still a student there, and has been passionate about teaching ever since. Eric is currently pursuing an MFA in Music Composition from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
