I have been fortunate to have worked with many wonderful teachers to help me in my musical journey. I always loved the time I spent with teachers and educators in one on one lessons, and still do to this day. Working with an educator one on one can be about so much more than learning notes, scales, or techniques. While those things are obviously important, it is also about getting to know the experiences and philosophies of the teacher. Music is a language, and I believe it is incredibly helpful to spend time speaking it with someone who is fluent in it, to help you discover your own voice.
